Today, in Bayan Palace, with the attendance of the President of the Republic of Benin, Dr. Boni Yayi, and on the sidelines of the third Arab African summit concluded yesterday, a Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Benin and Direct Aid Society has been signed in Kuwait. The Memorandum of Understanding is interested in establishment and management of the Society to a university in the capital of Benin, Porto Novo.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Government of Benin represented by the Foreign Minister Nasiro Baquaravasi while Dr Abdul Rahman Saleh Mahalan, chairman of the Direct Aid Society, signed on behalf of the Society.
The Memorandum of Understanding states that the Aid Society establishes and manages the University in the capital of the Republic of Benin, Porto Novo, including four colleges at the beginning and they will be established according to the feasibility study conducted in this regard.
The ceremony of signing the Memorandum of Understanding has been attended by the Kuwait’s Ambassador in the Republic of Benin, Fayez Mishari Al Jassim, in addition to the Ambassador of the Republic of Benin in the State of Kuwait, Abdo Kbasi.
