Director General of Direct Aid Society \u201cAbdullah Al-Sumait\u201d said that the Society completed all arrangements to implement sacrificial project for this year, assuring that Society\u2019s offices deployed in the African continent, in addition to Yemen, is ready to implement project\u2019 program and distribute sacrifices to the beneficiaries as usual.<\/p>\n
Al-Sumait added that the Society allocated about 930,000 dinars for 2018 project, pointing out that the number of sacrifice reached 33,000, benefits about one million people of poor, widows and people with special needs in countries where Direct Aid works.<\/p>\n
Stressing that sacrifice\u2019s impact on beneficiaries is much greater than the impact of a meal; as it achieve the meanings of Islam to promote the values of solidarity and compassion among Muslims and it received by beneficiaries\u2019 joy and longing as they feel these meanings.<\/p>\n
Al-Sumait explained that the Society is acting on behalf of the donor in purchasing and slaughtering the sacrifice, and it is successfully managing a special Waqf for sacrifices of KD 400 in which an annual sacrifice is allocated to Waqf owner.<\/p>\n
Al-Sumait affirmed that what distinguishes sacrifice\u2019s project in Direct Aid Society is the direct implementation without intermediaries, which confirms the arrival of sacrifices to its beneficiaries in a fast and secure manner.<\/p>\n
The Society also completed preparations for the Hajj campaign 2018. Al-Sumait added that the number of pilgrims whom the society intends to send to perform Hajj this year is 210 pilgrims, in addition to 70 pilgrims at the expense of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, as he do every year.<\/p>\n
Al-Sumait affirmed that the selection of pilgrims is based on a well-thought-out strategy based on the selection of influential individuals, such as sultans and tribal sheikhs, in support of their social status; as well as imams and preachers; and a number of women who are unable to perform Hajj at their own expenses., stressing that Hajj project is an important tool to spread Islamic religion across the black continent, where these local leaders have an important impact on their tribes and it will be a strong reason for their guidance and convert to Islam.<\/p>\n
While Hajj for us is just a faith journey, it is considered for those African pilgrims a change to their whole lifestyle, which contributes to the Islamization of large numbers of those tribes and communities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
