Simid University affiliated with Direct Aid celebrates the graduation of the fourteenth class of its students in Somalia<\/strong><\/p>\n

Simid University is ranked first among Somali universities<\/strong><\/p>\n

Simid University, affiliated with Direct Aid Society in Somalia, celebrated the graduation of its fourteenth year for the year 2018 from its 558 male and female students, eighty per cent of whom are male students and the rest of female students are in the fields of administrative sciences, computer and social sciences, economics, law, education and engineering.<\/p>\n

The graduation ceremony was attended by: Chairman of the Direct Aid Society, Chairman of the University Board of Trustees, Dr Abdul Rahman Saleh Al-Muhailan, Vice-President of the University Board of Trustees, Mr Muhammad Al-Khamis, and many education representatives in Somalia.<\/p>\n

Simid University was established in 1999 as the largest institute that offers university education in Somalia on the initiative of the Office of “Direct Aid” there, to fill the void left by the central government after its collapse and to meet the needs of society, and the first director of the institute was Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud, former President of the Federal Republic of Somalia. The establishment of the institute aimed to train the intermediate administrative staff of public and private institutions after the civil wars, prepare the emerging generation to meet the needs of the local labour market, and to secure appropriate and beneficial jobs for them, and to prepare and provide administrative courses for administrative officials of the private and public sector.<\/p>\n

After eleven years of success in the educational process, specifically on the twentieth day of January 2011 AD, the Board of Trustees decided to upgrade the institute to the current “Simed” University.<\/p>\n

It is worth noting that the university is officially registered by the Somali Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It includes nine colleges, namely: College of Administrative Sciences, College of Computer, College of Economics, College of Social Sciences, College of Law, College of Education, College of Health Sciences, College of Engineering, College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine. Twenty-eight majors.<\/p>\n

The university is currently ranked first among Somali universities and ranked in the year 2018 among the two hundred African universities.
\nSimid University has a great reputation among Somali society, as it provides a unique educational service. It also has extensive relations with scientific and research institutions and organizations, and it is an effective member of many of these regional and international institutions and organizations.<\/p>\n

The university seeks to be a pioneering centre in creating a graduate equipped with useful science and noble ethics, as it aims to provide high-quality academic programs and professional programs at all levels, developing and disseminating contemporary education techniques and models to create an excellent academic environment, and enhancing students’ knowledge and skills that qualify them to be researchers In scientific studies in various fields to address national issues, and to serve as a specialized centre in training, research and consulting.<\/p>\n

The number of students enrolled in the university during the academic year 2018\/2019 is three thousand male and female students, registered male students represent 80% of them, while female students represent 20% of the total.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
