The Direct Aid Society concluded the blessed month of Ramadan, the season of benevolence and obedience, with honourable human achievements that contribute to highlighting the wonderful human aspect of our country, Kuwait, which made it a symbol of giving and charity spreading the meanings of happiness and joy.<\/p>\n

Nusseibah Abdul Rahman Al-Sumait stated, “The Society’s accomplishments during the month included distributing 3.3 million meals to the poor and needy, and benefited from zakat al-Fitr over more than 70,000 people. By the grace of God, the Association achieved its desired goals in their aid campaign that targets the development and educational projects during the past month, Direct Aid offers a step towards achieving the Society’s vision of a better life for people in Africa and Yemen.<\/p>\n

For the fourth year in a row, a special campaign was organized in the last ten days of Ramadan, so it launched a campaign for the last ten projects on social media, which since its inception found a great interaction from philanthropists in Kuwait and the Arab world.<\/p>\n

The head of the Public Relations and Media Department explained that the campaign is a project that is launched every day in the means of communication every night and is done thanks to God and the benevolence of the people of goodness the project is closed within a few hours. The projects of the previous days included food security and relief projects, anti-blind camps, village development, building vocational training centres and schools, and two campaigns devoted to relief Yemen and the second to deliver water to villages, and Al-Sumait stated that despite the many charitable projects announced by all charities during the last ten days, except that The interaction was amazing, thanks to God, from the people of Kuwait, the country of humanity and the giving that no country can compete with.<\/p>\n

In the context of her narration of the work of the association, Nusseibah Al-Sumait played the great role played by the government agencies that were supportive of this success, with her directives and assistance to the association in achieving common visions, including the ministries of affairs with all of its staff concerned with charitable work, as well as foreign affairs, those involved in charitable work and ambassadors of good in the countries in which they operate, which had an impact Directly in achieving goals and speed of achievement.<\/p>\n
