Direct-Aid Organization has been continuing in conducting its healthcare campaigns for blindness control and performing cataract surgeries in three countries including Yemen, Sudan and Niger.<\/p>\n<p>Direct-Aid conducted during these two months:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>17 campaigns in Sudan include 8000 surgeries out of total 34,000 beneficiaries of medical checkup and treatment.<\/li>\n<li>6 campaigns in Niger include 6000 surgeries, (The number of beneficiaries of medical checkup, treatment and free medicines touched 12,000).<\/li>\n<li>2 campaigns in both cite Sana\u2019a and Hadramaut include 503 surgeries out of total 5000 beneficiaries of medical checkup, treatment and free medicines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is noteworthy that \u201ccataract\u201d is a disease that causes a liquid substance to form on the lens of the eye, and the patient gradually loses his vision. And this disease is spread in poor areas greatly, especially in African countries, which recorded more than 35 million infections, and every 60 seconds a child becomes ill in it, despite the fact that the treatment costs only 40 dinars, and the process does not take more than 15 minutes. Many, however, do not have enough money for treatment<\/p>\n<p>The State of Kuwait, represented by the charitable sector, has had multiple and continuous contributions in providing free treatment to the needy in the poorest regions, and direct aid has ensured the support of benefactors so far by running more than 400 camps for the eyes, of which more than 200,000 people have benefited.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In spite of the health conditions in the entire globe that caused by the covid-19 pandemic.
