A quick response from DirectAid to relieve the displaced people of Mozambique tornado<\/strong><\/p>\n

DirectAid responds to the call for help from the displaced and affected people in Mozambique due to the destroying tornado to many housing and public facilities in Beira city. At the same time, a civil war has broken out in the same country in another city (Pemba), which caused more displacement of many poor families to camps searching for safety. This is because the disruption of their life interests and destroying their homes.
\nDirectAid responded quickly with a diverse relief campaign (food and non-food materials) to save 15,000 displaced families. In this context, the campaign has provided 75,000 blankets, mosquito nets and canvas tarpaulins to protect the displaced families from the cold winter and scattered insects in the camps. As well as, it provided 7500 packages of oil and sugar, in addition to providing 15,000 rice packages (25 Kg) and 15,000 flour packages (10 kg) in order to protect them from malnutrition and the spread of diseases and epidemics.<\/p>\n

DirectAid has developed its relief programs to implement quick responses for disasters and crises as following:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– A prepared plan of a quick response for each country includes coordination bodies and strategic stock locations of relief materials.
\n– Allocating a relief fund to speed up the process of taking an action.
\n– Coordinating with the specialized international parachutes teams for relief.
\n– Helping governmental institutions in arranging tasks on the early days of crises.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
