Chad in Africa is witnessing massive floods, including 18 out of 23 regions. The capital, N’Djamena, was the most affected, and more than 100,000 families were displaced throughout the country, including more than 16,500 families in the capital, N’Djamena, only. The government declared a state of emergency because of this disaster.<\/p>\n

In this context, Direct Aid launched an urgent relief campaign a few days ago to save the affected people in Chad at a value of 22,446 Kuwaiti dinars by providing them with basic foodstuffs to contribute to reducing diseases resulting from the accumulation of rain and waste and combating malnutrition diseases and stunted growth for children. The campaign targets more than 30,000 people. Affected, and requests direct aid from everyone to contribute to saving the victims in 18 regions of the state of Chad through the relief campaign launched by the association on its official website.<\/p>\n

Criteria for selecting target groups for relief support<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is worth noting that Direct Aid prioritizes relief interventions for children – widowed mothers – the elderly – severe psychological cases – women at risk – people exposed to malnutrition diseases – mental and physical disabilities – serious illnesses – families without a breadwinner.<\/p>\n

Direct aid strategy in implementing urgent relief<\/strong><\/p>\n

Direct Aid focused from the outset in the relief department on providing an air bridge continuously in cooperation with the Air Force of the Ministry of Defence in the State of Kuwait to facilitate and accelerate the implementation of relief projects in terms of delivering food baskets, water supplies, tents, clothes, blankets, and other essential non-food items as needed. It is well known in Africa the enormous ability of Direct Aid to intervene quickly in providing relief. Therefore, Direct Aid is relied on considerably by the governments of many African countries.<\/p>\n
