At the beginning of this month (July 2024), Direct Aid held the graduation ceremony of the seventh class of Ummah University in the State of Kenya – one of the four universities owned by Direct Aid in Africa – where the graduation of 1,261 students from various academic disciplines was celebrated, including master’s and bachelor’s degrees, diplomas, and vocational courses. The number of male graduates reached 622 students, and the number of female graduates 639 students. 7 students graduated with a master’s, 424 students with a bachelor’s, 589 students with diplomas, and 242 students graduated from vocational courses. The ceremony was attended by a representative of the President of Kenya and the Deputy Minister of Education, the Board of Trustees of the University, and a delegation from the State of Kuwait.<\/p>\n
It is worth noting that the university began as a college in 1997, and by 2007, the college had transformed into the Umma University as the first private Islamic university in Kenya. The total number of university graduates since its founding until now (2024) has reached 5,861 male and female students. They graduated from 6 colleges that include Islamic sharia, education, nursing, arts, business, and technology degrees, with a total of 26 academic programs offered.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
