In recognition of his great efforts in the charity work<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kingdom of Saudi Arabi has put the name of the founder of Direct Aid (Formerly African Muslims Committee) Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Somit (May Allah Bless his soul) on a street in Qairawan neighborhood, Riyadh in appreciation for the great efforts exerted by the late in the field of the charity work over more than three decades in the African continent across its geographical area.<\/p>\n

In this occasion, Direct Aid Society has presented a letter of thanks to the Saudi Embassy in Kuwait in which it extended its thanks and appreciations for this “generous and noble gesture from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of charity work since a long time and we remember here awarding King Faisal Ibn Abdul Aziz Prize for Humanitarian Work to the late\/ Al Somit in 1996.<\/p>\n

The society statement expressed the feelings of happiness for all employees in the society upon hearing the news, hope more prosperity, stability and security and safety for the big brotherly country in order to maintain the giving and goodness journey which inspire us as our ideal example.<\/p>\n

It is worth to mention that Direct Aid Society was established in 1981 by the late\/ Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Somit under the name of African Muslims Committee and this name was changed to the current name in 1999. Its operations are focused in Africa where there are 33 branches in 33 African countries emphasizing on the individual education and development as well as health care and development services, fighting against ignorance, diseases and developing human resources with the full compliance with the principle of transparency in work especially in the financial aspect in addition to the quality at work and creating the spirit of cooperation and creativity as fundamental principles in its action policy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
