Muslim community in Benin suffer from a sever lack of water due to the desert nature of the country, and people have to take a long journey to get water. In Direct-aid we aim to ease the way for the poor families through well drilling in their areas and make the access to water much easier.
The well is drilled to the water level below the rocky layer to a depth may be up to 100 meters, and it is provided with an electric pump and an overhead tank as well as water extensions to different areas in order to make sure the well will work uninterruptedly.
