55 health programs during the month implemented by direct aid in 13 African countries
In August, Direct Aid Society implemented 55 health programs in African villages that lack basic health services
Medical programs have varied between medical convoys providing tests and treatment for the most prevalent diseases in the targeted areas, and also included vaccination campaigns for children and pregnant mothers, Head of Public Relations and Information Nusseibah Abdul Rahman Al-Sumait stated that such programs that help to reach medical services to remote villages contribute significantly to Fighting disease and preventing the spread of epidemics, as it contributes to spreading health awareness among families and mothers in particular, through the guidance provided by doctors during the campaigns.
It also added that the number of beneficiaries of the 55 health programs implemented by direct aid reached 14,903 people during the month.
Al-Sumait explained that the association launches such programs monthly with the aim of reaching the largest number of beneficiaries, within its various endeavours and programs that aim to achieve its vision in combating ignorance, poverty and disease, and enabling the human being to achieve sustainable development in his society.
