A remarkable enhancement has been achieved for widows, divorced and orphans’ mothers in 2021 by Aid For You project. The project provided more than 11,000 Qard Hasan with an incredible success of the percentage of payback reached 99.7%. Accordingly, Direct-Aid is planning to increase the number of such Qard Hasan to 14,000 Qard during the current year of 2022 to empower productive families in Africa.
Most interestingly, the idea of such a project was established in 2015 in one country under the slogan of “We do not just give cash money to keep her poor, but rather to turn her a Zakat payer”. It is worth mentioning that the project is a consequence of a huge effort for more than a decade in establishing development projects in many African countries. For sustainability purposes, before running any project, we conduct a feasibility study in the subject country and based on the outcomes we take an informative decision on whether to run the project or not. In the event of a successful project, we in Direct-Aid plan to implement more projects in different counties. This is to uplift people standard of living who are limited income and have the ability to run projects. At the same time, we support them financially according to the global best practices of microfinance.
