Al Safwa School is proud to be among the 213 schools nationwide chosen to participate in the upcoming PISA 2025 assessment. This globally recognized test, administered by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), evaluates students’ competencies in reading, mathematics, and science.
This year, 18 middle school students from Al Safwa took part in the assessment, which was conducted in two sessions. Besides the academic evaluation, students completed a questionnaire addressing their educational and social environment.
Participation in PISA reflects Al Safwa School’s commitment to meeting international education standards and provides a valuable benchmark for comparing student performance globally. It also offers insights to guide improvements aligned with best educational practices, thereby enhancing the school’s reputation within Rwanda’s education system.
At the conclusion of the testing day, students received certificates of participation and commemorative T-shirts. Additionally, the school’s academic coordinator was honored with a certificate of appreciation in recognition of their exceptional efforts facilitating the process.
Al Safwa’s involvement in PISA marks a significant milestone in its ongoing mission to deliver world-class education and nurture students equipped with critical thinking, creativity, and excellence.
