The prophet (PBUH) said “The acts most pleasing to Allah are those which are done continuously, even if they are small”. Based on such enlightening Hadith, Direct Aid Society continues in launching its most popular monthly campaign (10X10) which launched two years ago in Oct 2018. Dr. Abdullah Abdulrahman Alsumait, “General Manager of the Direct-Aid Society” confirmed that since the campaign had launched, it has received widespread welcome among thousands of donors. As well as, the number of participants in the campaign exceeds 10 thousand donors every month, and the total number of campaign projects during two years reached 4,825 projects with a large number of beneficiaries touched 3,048,529 needy people. The campaign (10X10) of the present month (Dec, 2020) presented in a more creative and interactive way with donors where included 100 projects for various donation purposes aiming to benefit more than 100,000 needy person in Africa and Yemen; Therefore, this month we entitled it (10X 100), and it received an incredible response from donors. “Dr. Alsumait said”.

In the same context Dr. Alsumait has released some details about the campaign since its launching it during two years, where the campaign provided 2,010 relief projects including food baskets and food centers in disaster areas in Africa and around 62,657 needy people have benefited from such projects. As well as, the campaign focused on healthcare projects where we conducted 509 projects, and the number of beneficiaries is around 220,000 patient. Regarding the awareness projects, we have executed 270 project reached to more than 2 million person. For educational projects we in Direct Aid have provided 1,300 projects including (universities buildings – equipping laboratories – scholarships – training courses – school books – equipping libraries – training centers) and around 104,900 needy student has benefited from such projects. The monthly campaign has also included water wells and reservoirs projects reached 38 project and benefited more than half million poor people. For the development projects we provided to the poor societies in Africa 656 project in different sectors for helping economic recovery in many poor villages in Africa, which benefited more than 5,600 needy family. Along with providing orphan projects include entertainment and service facilities as well as orphanages which extended to 12 project with a large number of beneficiaries exceeded 2,800 orphans.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Sumait concluded by emphasizing the importance of the (10X 10) campaign for Direct Aid donors, and thank their interaction and eagerness to take the lead by starting the donation once kicking off the campaign for each month. On the other hand, he emphasized the great benefit that such campaign provides to the beneficiaries in Africa and Yemen. Al-Sumait promised Direct Aid’s friends both donors and beneficiaries of more creativity and enlargement in the upcoming campaigns, asking them to spread goodness and generosity values among their relatives and friends to continue to open more doors for good deeds at the beginning of each month.
