Continuing DirectDid surgical camps in Africa despite the struggle of movement due to Covid-19
Despite of the logistical troubles due to the effects of Covid-19, DirectAid medical camps in Africa do not stop. Ms. Nusseibeh Abdulrahman Alsumait – Director of Public Relations and Marketing division of DirectAid stated that we cooperated with “International Medical & Surgical Aid” to conduct an integrated surgical camp in the capital, Dakar – Senegal. The camp lasted for eight days, from 22/5/ to 29/5/2021. During the camp 200 surgeries and more than 1,012 medical examinations and treatment were conducted as well as distributing medicine for free. The camp was funded from the donations of DirectAid’s monthly project the so called (10×10 March – 2021).
This medical camp comes within the priority of DirectAid Society of its continuous healthcare activities in order to support the healthcare sector in African countries and Yemen. Because of their suffering from poor health conditions and severe weakness of medical services, due to the declining economic condition and increasing the famines and disasters.
