This campaign benefits more than a million people in 27 countries

Direct Aid Society concluded its Ramadan campaign for this year under the name of the 2000 projects campaign which aims to accomplish 2000 projects that include digging artesian wells and medical convoys in addition to various development projects. More than one million and 14 thousand people in 27 countries benefit from this campaign. More than one million people participated in this campaign Of the 53,000 donors inside and outside Kuwait. Where the campaign started on Wednesday, May 8th, at ten in the morning, and continued until ten in the evening.

The campaign targeted projects that achieve comprehensive development for villages and people in remote areas in Africa by drilling 500 wells of deep artesian wells that serve more than 800,000 people in areas suffering from severe drought and the spread of diseases caused by water shortages and drinking contaminated water such as cholera, hepatitis, typhoid, malaria and other diseases cause the death of a large number of children and the elderly who drink from this water, and because children are busy fetching water daily for distances of more than 6 km per day, a large number of children lag behind, which leads to widespread ignorance, poverty and disease in a It came the African continent.

The campaign also aims to provide and operate 500 medical convoys in 28 countries, and approximately 127,300 people from remote areas and villages that do not have health services and hospitals benefit from them. These medical convoys provide the necessary treatments for medical conditions in these areas, and they also have a major role in Performing surgeries and fighting blindness.

In addition, the Direct Aid Society seeks through its campaign to implement 1,000 development projects in 26 countries, these projects include farms for poultry, cows and goats in addition to providing micro-loans to productive families, these projects have an essential and effective role in developing skills and technical capabilities of the poor and improving their standard of living, which It creates sustainable development in poor societies and achieves self-sufficiency, reliance on available resources and dispensing
