Direct-Aid has conducted 939 projects in 2021 to provide access to clean drinking water by taking part in the countries’ plans to address the need for water projects. A total of 2,756,834 people benefitted from the executed projects with a total budget of KD 6,602,018.
The water projects ranged from drilling small and large-scale artesian wells, building water tanks and reservoirs, and installing water pumps to supply nearby villages, in addition to improving existing wells.
Direct Aid is known for installing solar panels at the sites of the wells in order to guarantee uninterrupted operation in times of power outage.
