Direct Aid conducts more than 46,000 Adahi in Africa and Yemen
The Prophet (PBUH) said “The son of Adam does not do any deed on the Day of Sacrifice that is dearer to Allah than shedding blood. It will come on the Day of Resurrection with its horns and cloven hoofs and hair. Its blood is accepted by Allah before it reaches the ground. So be content when you do it.” (Al-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah).
DirectAid with Allah’s blessing and the generosity of its donors was able to execute more than 46,000 sacrifices of sheep, cows and camels during the blessed Eid Aladha in 27 African countries and Yemen, to benefit about 1.5 million people from the neediest communities in Africa.
Such project of sacrifices comes within the light of taking advantage of Allah’s blessings of every year, and to practice one of the Islamic rituals in order to get closer to Allah SWT. As Allah says “….and whoever holds in honour the symbols of Allah, (in the sacrifice of animals), such (honour) should come truly from piety of heart”. (Alhaj:32)
