Breakfast and organizing awareness programs and Holy Quran competitions
Direct Aid Society continues to implement fasting breakfast items donated by the benefactors to be distributed to their brothers in 27 African countries and Yemen in the form of cooked iftar banquets and dry breakfast baskets distributed in villages and regions in need.
This was stated by Director of Public Relations, Media and Marketing M. Majid Al-Zaabi, “The association has prepared to implement more than 2 million and 700 thousand meals this year, God willing, and will continue to implement them on a daily basis throughout Ramadan.”
The awareness departments of the association have also intensified the follow-up of memorization sessions in mosques and Quranic schools affiliated with the association and the organization of Quranic competitions that occupy young people in the Qur’an in this holy month.
Al-Zaabi added, “Currently, the preliminary competitions of Abdul Rahman Al-Sumait, which we hope will be among those who qualify for the competition’s final, will be held, God willing.”
Majid Al-Zaabi says, “Ramadan is a month of blessing and activity, in which programs and activities that are implemented in every facility of direct aid, whether it be a school, a house of the Qur’an, a mosque or a house for orphans, flourish in it. A number of our young orphans, young, memorized and distinguished in the Qur’an by leading the Taraweeh worshipers in a day or two, to encourage and motivate them to continue to master their memorization.
