The Chairman of the Direct Aid Society, Dr Abdul-Rahman Saleh Al-Muhailan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Sierra Leone and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of His Excellency the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait in Sierra Leone, Mr Saleh Ali Al-Saqabi. His Excellency, in her short visit to Kuwait, made sure that the Direct Aid Association has a share of the visit schedule
Dr. explained Al-Mohailan expressed his happiness for this distinguished opportunity that she gave her to the association, stressing that this visit has a profound impact in opening doors for coordination and growth of partnerships between the Republic of Sierra Leone and direct aid
The Minister briefed the programs and achievements of the association that started in Sierra Leone since the year 1985 AD, and it had a direct impact on changing the lives of more than 17 million people. The programs and projects varied between health services and development and educational projects during which grants and grants were provided and provided to more than 16,000 students, and also included More than 2,600 construction projects
The visit culminated in an affirmation of the importance of the work of humanitarian and charitable organizations to improve human life and create new opportunities that help poor communities to self-sufficiency and dispense with continuous assistance. At the end of the meeting, the Minister stressed her thanks for the great role that Kuwait plays in contributing to achieving sustainable development in her country.
