Direct Aid, a charity organization that works in Africa, founded by Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sumait, believes in improving the world by working diligently to serve the neediest African communities. Direct Aid has been recognized for its social services in Mauritania and Burkina Faso by both countries’ Heads of State.

The association’s office in Mauritania received the highest honor, the Fares Medal, from His Excellency the President of the Republic, in recognition of its achievements in providing social services, including the construction of wells, mosques, schools, and orphan care, as well as implementing many development projects and health clinics in partnership with various government ministries since 2008. This honor is a prelude to Direct Aid’s application for diplomatic status in Mauritania.

In Burkina Faso, Direct Aid was also awarded the highest recognition, the Knight Medal at the rank of stallion, by the country’s Head of State. The charity organization has previously won several honors, including the Knight Medal for Social Work and the Knight Medal for Academic Palm Rank. This most recent award represents the culmination of once-obtained medals and is a testament to Direct Aid’s commitment to serving needy communities.

These honors are granted based on the recommendation of the official bodies with which Direct Aid cooperates and the submission of work completion reports, including annual reports, reports of visits to implemented projects, and reports of relief interventions. These accolades serve as a testament to Direct Aid’s commitment to improving the lives of people in Africa through partnerships and service.
