DirectAid is providing more than 5.5 million Iftar meals for the poor villages in Africa and Yemen
As the Prophet (PBUH) said “Whoever provides food for a fasting person to break his fast with, he will earn the same reward as the one who was observing the fast, without diminishing in any way the reward of the fasting person” (Jami` at-Tirmidhi). DirectAid and its respected donors receive this blessing month with enthusiastic to eagerly participate in Iftar meals project taking the prophet’s attitude (PBUH) during Ramadan as an example, as “Ibn Abbas” mentioned “The Prophet (PBUH) was the most generous amongst the people, and he used to be more so in the month of Ramadan …” (Sahih al-Bukhari).
Mrs. Nusaybah Abdullrahman Alsumait – Mmanger of Public Relations & Media, has emphasized that DirectAid is receiving the month of Ramadan with preparing more than 5.5 million Iftar meals and food baskets for Africa and Yemen. Besides, DirectAid will be launching at the beginning of this blessing month a giant campaign for providing water to the most dryness places in Africa not only to water them but also to revive their villages. In addition to dedicating a campaign in each night of the last 10 days of Ramadan which include development – Healthcare – Orphans care – education – supporting universities – Food relief and Sadaqa Jariyah projects etc.
As Nusaybah Alsumait mentioned, I still remember what the founder Dr. Abdullrahman Alsumait told us about one of the poor people said “As soon as I see the distributed Iftar meals, I forget all the hunger and thirst I suffered from in this holy month, because I do not have the money to buy Iftar, and then he raised his hands making Du’aa for everyone who contributed to the delivery of this Iftar meals for them”. As she encouraged DirectAids’ friends and donors to take advantage of Allah’s blessings in this month and contribute in such good deeds to spread out the benefit among Muslim community.
