DirectAid responses quickly to relief the displaced from the eruption of Congo volcano

At the inception of June 2021 the Congo witnessed an eruption of one of its most active volcanoes, and it followed by earthquakes which resulted in the displacement of many affected people to the border areas with Rwanda. The number of victims is estimated at 4,000 families, in addition to the destruction of 93 schools and other health and religious institutions.

Direct Aid had responded urgently to provide 152,000 kg of various foodstuffs and followed by medical convoys and financial support to rebuild the homes of the affected people, schools and all damaged buildings.
