Donation Policy

First – Donation Policy:

Direct Aid provides several outlets for donations to facilitate donors.

1. Through the five branches of the association in the following areas: Hawalli – Al Rawda – Al Jahra – Khaitan – Fahaheel
2. Through the society’s website https://direct-aid.org
3. Through the Direct Aid application for phones, Apple Store, and Google Apps
4. Donate through the call centre phone service at 1866888.
5. Provide a representative service to receive donations from your convenient location by calling 1866888.

To ensure a successful donation:

1. Make sure to donate through the previous channels only.
2. Each employee affiliated with Direct Aid has an ID showing his data
3. Receiving the receipt (receipt voucher) and reviewing the receipt information to ensure its validity.
4. An SMS text message will be sent to the donor once the donation is complete. (Only if the donor is registered on the system)

The donor has the right to:

• Donate by name, nickname, or as a (philanthropist), noting that the association will not be able to communicate with him or provide him with reports unless he registers the e-mail, phone number, or address.
• Request a unique link for publication and choose the name of the project, provided that the applicant is: “father – mother – husband – wife – son – daughter – brother – sister,” and a copy of the applicant’s civil ID is attached to the unique link application form.

Knowing the project completion duration and the date of receiving the reports due for the project.

• Installing the cost of the project in installments or a monthly deduction, and implementation will begin when half of the project cost is completed.
• The donor is provided with project reports if the data required for the donor is available at Direct Aid Society.
• Direct Aid Society communicates with the donor in each of the following cases:
• If the donation process fails.
• If the monthly deduction stops.

Project implementation period:

Most of the construction projects and wells are completed within 12 months.

Documenting projects with a report:

In the interest of Direct Aid to achieve reassurance with the donor and make them happy with the effect of his charity, the projects and guarantees are documented with photo reports as follows:

• Facilities and buildings: a progress report is sent upon completion of construction and a final report upon completion of construction and opening of the project.
• Wells: A report is sent when drilling is completed and the well is opened.
• Sponsorship: The sponsor shall be provided with an annual report.

Exceptional circumstances:

Implementation or documentation of the project may be delayed or impossible due to circumstances beyond control, such as natural disasters or political circumstances. The donor will be contacted if the implementation is not possible or implementation is delayed for more than six months to present the available options for implementing the project in another location or changing the type of project.

Project opening:

Direct Aid is pleased with the donor’s participation in opening his charitable project to achieve the principle of transparency and to see the places of his giving by himself. In the following order:

1. The donor shall bear all travel and accommodation expenses for him to the country of the implemented charitable project.
2. The branch of the Direct Aid Society office in the country executing the project undertakes to receive him, organize his visit to the project, and accompany him.

Amending the donation:

First: Amendment based on the desire of the donor:

It is allowed to amend the information of the charitable project (the name of the project and the donor) for the following projects within a specified period:

1. Masjid: within a maximum period of two months only
2. Artesian wells: within a maximum period of two weeks only.
3. Surface wells: within a maximum period of one week only.

Direct Aid Society apologizes for the possibility of making any amendments to the information of the following charitable projects:

1. Zakat, Sadaqat, and Kafarat.
2. Aqeeqa – Nozoor – Cattle sacrifice– Expiation fasting- Kafarat Yameen.
3. A request for a unique link to a project for publication. And it has already been published, and donations to it have begun.

It is allowed to modify the country in which the following charitable projects are implemented within a specified period from the date of donation:

1. Special projects: for a maximum period of five days only.
2. Sponsorship: for a maximum period of one month only.

Direct Aid allows an amendment to the type of charitable project in the following cases:

1. From a private donation to a public one within a maximum period of five working days from the date of the donation.
2. From a public donation to a private one: within a maximum period of two months only from the date of the donation.

Second: Amendment by Direct Aid:

In exceptional circumstances that impede implementation, the society may have to change the location of the project or the country, and the donor will be contacted to obtain his approval for the change:

1. In the event of a change in the status of the sponsored person (orphan – student of knowledge – preacher) due to non-compliance with the sponsorship conditions or for any reason beyond the will, the association transfers the sponsorship directly to another sponsored person. The sponsor is notified in the annual report, along with a report for the new sponsored person.
2. The Direct Aid Society replaces charitable projects, including:

(State – Beneficiary) in the following cases:

– Orphan Sponsorship:

1. The orphan is replaced upon reaching the age of 18 with another orphan (male or female) according to the donor’s desire.
2. Traveling or leaving the area (displacement, migration), which is difficult to reach.
3. In the event of the death of the sponsored person. (Allah forbid)

– Student:

1. Leaving studies according to the desire of the student.
2. Completion of studies or graduation of the student.
3. In the event of the death of the sponsored person (Allah forbid).
4. Traveling or leaving the area (displacement, emigration) which is difficult to reach

Sponsorship of the preacher:

1. If the preacher stops working for society.

Other charitable projects:

The state is changed according to the security and political situation of the country in which it is implemented.

Third – Refund of the donation amount:

– In the event of a donation, the donor can retrieve the donation within a maximum of one month from its date.

The Direct Aid Society apologizes for the donor’s refund of the donation amount upon paying the total amount and starting the project implementation.

Suppose the association delays the implementation for more than a year and a half without providing an alternative to the project. In that case, the donor has the right to recover the donation amount.

The donated amount is returned in the following steps:

1. Fill in the form to return the donated amount.
2. Attach the donation receipt, a copy of the civil ID, the bank account number, and the bank card number in case of payment by credit card or visa.
3. The donor will be contacted, and the necessary measures will be taken. The donor will be reimbursed for the donation amount and deposited in the donor’s bank account within five working days.

Administrative percentage of Direct Aid Society:

The Direct Aid Society deducts, deducts, or directs a percentage that does not exceed 10% of the donation. For administrative expenses related to the implementation of the project.

Sharia supervision and auditing:

The Direct Aid Society has an independent legal body that examines and reviews the contracts and operations concluded by the society and determines the controls for donations and transactions following Islamic (Sharia) law principles.
