Subject/journey of Mohamed Hassan Mohamed

Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, then prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.

I am Mohamed Hassan Mohamed, a former orphan in the Direct Aid Society, and I want to tell you my story.

The association sponsored me in 1999 after my father’s death when I was 9 years old; I was an internal orphan at Alsalam Center for Orphan Care in Mogadishu; I learned the Holy Quran and religious sciences in it; and I studied elementary, Junior high and high school; After I graduated from high school, I joined Simad University with a scholarship from direct aid society in the College of Computer at the MIS Department. During my studies at the university, I was an assistant orphan instructor and I tutored students at Alsalam Center; I graduated from the university in 2014, and after graduating I competed for a treasurers job opportunity offered by the Office of Direct Aid Society in Somalia and I was the first winner for this position and I became an employee in the organization and took training courses for accounting software and many other courses to improve my skills.

After two years, I decided to increase my knowledge in this field, so I joined the University of Somalia in the Accounting Department and graduated in June 2019. I now hold 2 bachelor degrees in accounting and MIS and I’m now a master’s student in the Accounting Department; and a father of three children, two girls, and one boy.

Finally, I would like to thank the employees of this organization; and pray for God to have mercy on its founder, Dr. Abdul Rahman AlSumait.
