The Direct Aid Association has announced the launch of its Emergency Relief Project for Sudan. The event was attended by the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Sudan, Dr. Fahd Al-Dhafiri, the Governor of the Red Sea State, Mustafa Mohamed Nour, the Deputy Commissioner of Humanitarian Aid in Sudan, Othman Khogali, and Al-Walaya Al-Tom Kheit, along with several news channels and media outlets.

The project aims to provide relief assistance to 12,000 families across Sudan, with a particular focus on reaching areas under siege, which are typically inaccessible to humanitarian aid due to the ongoing conflict.

The distribution began in the Red Sea State, specifically in the Arbaat Dam area, where residents were severely affected by the dam’s collapse. Aid was delivered to the affected families to improve their living conditions.

This project is part of Direct Aid’s strategy, which emphasizes rapid intervention during disasters to ensure the timely delivery of assistance to the most affected communities. The organization prioritizes providing essential needs and improving livelihoods for disaster-stricken populations, in collaboration with official entities and local partners.

This initiative is part of Direct Aid’s ongoing efforts to support those affected in Sudan since the outbreak of the conflict, addressing the severe challenges the country is currently facing.
