Direct aid aims this year to implement more than two million five hundred breakfast meals fasting in 30 African countries and Yemen
In line with its annual habit, the Direct Aid Society launched its Ramadan campaign for the year 2019 under the slogan “Shahr Al-Aoun”, as the campaign includes many basic projects, including educational and health projects, in addition to direct development and humanitarian projects.
In the educational track, Direct Aid Society is keen to pay attention to education because of its important and essential role in developing poor societies. Through her campaign for this year, Al-Aoun oversees a set of educational projects, including providing a uniform school uniform for students, developing school feeding to comply with international standards, in addition to equipping academic laboratories and scientific libraries, and providing modern and innovative educational methods.
As for the development path, the association adopts several development projects, including the good loans project, which mainly aims to empower women, support their role in the family and society, raise the economic level, create self-employment opportunities for women, reduce poverty and unemployment, and encourage a spirit of integration and solidarity among members of society. It is a socio-economic development project based on the principle of microfinance and provides lending services to women without resorting to traditional guarantees to finance small income-generating projects. The project consolidates the work culture, which positively affects the health and educational level of family members through the presence of a stable income for them. The project grants collective loans to 3-5 women for small service, commercial and industrial projects.
The direct human path is represented in the association’s annual adoption of a fasting breakfast project, and it is considered one of the most important seasonal projects implemented by the association in poor African countries. The project started in the Direct Aid Society since 1982. Direct aid aims this year to implement more than two million five hundred thousand breakfast meals fasting in 30 African countries and Yemen.
The association uses in this campaign various media and advertising media, such as print and audio-visual media and electronic communication sites, and receives inquiries by donors and philanthropists by phone at 1866888 or directly in its five branches spread in Kuwait in the areas of Hawalli, Al Rawda, Khaitan, Jahra, Fahaheel or via the website To the association.
