Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Muhailan, Chairman of the Board of Direct Aid, welcomed Mr. Sulaiman Kony, Ambassador of Burkina Faso in Kuwait at the headquarter of Direct Aid Association.
The Ambassador expressed Burkina Faso Government gratitude for the services provided by Direct Aid to the continent of Africa in general and Burkina Faso in particular, especially in the field of education, health, water and development projects.
The Ambassador provided his country’s invitation to Dr. Al-Muhailan for an official visit to Burkina Faso.
From his side, Dr. Al-Muhailan confirmed Direct Aid intends to move ahead with its developmental programs to achieve its vision of combating ignorance, poverty and disease.
Tarek Fahim, Director of Geographical Regions, explained that Direct Aid seeks through partnership with concerned ministries to achieve sustainable development.
Direct Aid established its office in Burkina Faso in 1986 and has:
• 6 development centers with 300 local employees and 8 foreign employees.
• Takes charge of 1,200 orphans and has 3,500 students studying in its 15 schools.
• Provides distinguished health service through an integrated hospital in Ouagadougou and a clinic in Bobo Delasu
• Completed 53 artesian wells.
At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador pledged to facilitate communication between Direct Aid and concerned ministries to support Direct Aid activities and programs by all available means.
